The Anatomy of Beef
The most common question I hear is, "Where's the Beef?" Not really but I just had to say it. If you don't understand that reference then go to youtube and find the Wendy's commercial from the 80's. Classic. Actually, what I am asked about is the different cuts of meat and what makes them different. Beef is beef, right? No, not even close. Some beef you can slow cook and it turns out tender and delicious but if you take that same cut and grill it, it becomes tough and flavorless. Knowing your cuts and how to properly prepare them is the key to enjoying your beef experience. I have found a GREAT chart that breaks down the retail parts of the cow. Hi! My name is Zorag, and I love beer.

I am a bit of a beer geek. I love trying new beers. I do not have a vast knowledge of beer and will be doing a lot of learning. For those of you who only drink "domestic swill" and also are curious, we can learn together. For those that have a working knowledge of beer and brewing, feel free to guide and correct us.

I use the term "domestic swill" jokingly. My domestic day to day pilsner of choice is Miller High Life. As far as craft beers and micro brews, I prefer IPAs. I don't know the terminology to express my opinions, and that is another area I will be working on.
